Someone asked me the other day (after reading my article: How to Get More Money) “Why do we sometimes give and not receive?” They asked “What is the science behind the concept: Give and you shall receive.”

I personally think that these are two great questions, so I will briefly answer these questions today.

I was talking with my editor the other day and she mentioned that your priorities should always be “people first, money second, and things last.” After thinking about that concept for a brief moment I said, “You know what, it has to work that way,” this concept of “people first, money second, and things last” is not just some grand suggestion, it is the way it must work in order for you to succeed.

I thought, “If you don’t take care of people, you won’t have any money, and if you don’t care of your money, you won’t be able to buy any things.”

There are no opportunities out there that will offer you immediate success.

Don’t think, “If I had only joined that business on the ‘ground level,’ then I would be rich,” or “If had only purchased thousand shares of Microsoft, then I would be living the life of my dreams right now.”

The reality is, you didn’t purchase that stock for a reason.
