Where Have You Been

Mr. Self Development

Dear Mr. Self Development,

Where have you been?

John

John, I’ve been on vacation.  My wife and I, as well as another couple, took a vacation to San Francisco, California.  It was a beautiful trip, and was the first time that I was able to travel to San Francisco for non-business related reasons.

We traveled to Muir Woods (to see the giant Red Wood trees), we also visited six wineries in Napa and Sonoma Valley, (which was a blast); on the last day we took a limousine ride through the city.

It was a great trip, although it was a little cold, so if you’re going to be visiting San Francisco, be sure to pack a jacket.  The highs are typically in the mid 60’s and the lows are in the mid 50’s.

Mark Twain once said that the coldest winter that he ever experienced was a summer in San Francisco.  I don’t know about the coldest winter, but it was certainly the coldest spring I’ve ever experienced.

Trip to Houston, TX

The week following our trip to San Francisco my wife and I attended and hosted the 50th birthday party of her mother who lives in Houston, Texas.  The event was attended by (approx.) 185 people and was the equivalent of throwing a small wedding.  A lot of work went into this party and constrained both my wife and I  for quite sometime.  In the end it was an amazing party.

That’s all for now!
