Why do bad things happen to good people?  Or, why do good things happen to bad people?

Hello Katy, you ask some interesting questions, I will answer these questions in short-order.

First, let me very broadly define our terms, so we’re all on the same page:

Good people - People who are generally pleasant, moral, honest and upright; those who act considering the best interest of others.  People like you and me Katy .

Bad people – People who are dishonest and immoral; those who are not necessarily concerned with the best interest of everyone.

Good things – Great careers, nice homes, long life, family, financial prosperity, etc.

Bad things – A job, a meagerly existence, sickness, financial struggles, etc.

What causes good things? 

Good things, as described above, are the result of knowledge, planning, discipline, focus, and hard work.

What causes bad things?

Bad things, as described above, are the result of poor planning, a lack of understanding, broken focus, and little discipline.

Katy, hopefully you can now see the connection between good people and bad things, and bad people and good things.  Can you?  It’s OK if you can’t, because there is no connection.  Good things can and will happen to both “good” and “bad” people dependent on their ability to comply with the principles that cause both good and bad things to happen.

The so-called “bad people” are apparently doing some things right, and the “good people,” well….they may not be doing everything perfectly. 

Hopefully this does not offend anyone; I know some of God’s first cousins may be reading this article. 

But the truth is….

Good things come from following principles; principles that work for all alike.   If anyone will follow the principles, they will have a degree of success; even if they’re “bad” people.  Sometimes good people, although good, don’t follow the principles of success.  (The really bad news is: this unfortunately trickles down and affects their children.)

There are principles that will lead to health and the transformation of poverty into prosperity.  This is one of the reasons I started this site, to communicate these universal principles so that everyone could partake in their benefits.  Success principles work for all.

Don’t Worry Katy

If and when some people get ahead at the expense of others, they will eventually pay.  No one gets something for nothing.  You need not stay up at night seeking vengeance.  Bad seeds equal a bad harvest.  The price will be paid by them, even if you never see them paying the price.  There is no happiness in getting ahead at the expense of others, put it another way Mr. Self Development, the consciousness of someone who would benefit at the expense of others has been so seared as to prevent an influx of happiness from flowing-in.

Action for Katy:  Continue to be “good,” follow “good” principles, and “good” things will happen to you.
